1) The CnC3 zoom is normally way further back than that. He selected a campaign mission where you have a limited amount of infantry making it useless to zoom out more and thus it was restricted in that mission.

2) In CnC you have the minimap which makes it quite redundant to zoom out to that level.

3) CnC has a much smaller scope overall and the zoom level serves just fine in the CnC scope.

I'm not hating on SupCom I think the games are great but the video is biased and stupid...

@lajakl Wow... made in 2007 and I'm still getting fully constructed correctly spelled critisism :)

I dunno man... I played a little multiplayer from C&C3 and I couldn't really get into it and actually I really was put off by the lack of zoom compared to Supcom.

But... I dropped out of Supcom later because... actually the game never worked.

(as in, large games kept de-syncing)

After being Supcom free for a few years... I was never bothered by the lack of zoom in Starcraft2! :)

WTF do you need the orbital view zoom for anyways? I am perfectly fine with the zoom level of CnC3.

Obviously... some people are used to look at small things from close-up... while others are used to looking at BIG things from a long distance ;) I recommand C&C3 for the first group.

they're both great games...its just that C&C is easier to play cause your limited in units and building when SupCom is more massive.

Don't get me wrong, supreme commanded is no doubt an awesome and epic game and fun to play when you have plenty of time to play.

C&C, though, offers a more fast paced game play and on lower end machines still gives you a fun game. You need a beast of a machine to bring out the best of SupCom.

i like the mushrooms in Warcraft 3, looks very pretty.

and i like rushing with big army, like supcom

a loaf a bread > supcom2/C&C4 in strategy terms. SupCom/FA > Military AI in strategy terms.
