-
@calltito why is he black...thats not in either of the breeds...you got him froma shelter sometimes they put rare names on dogs to get them adopted easier...ive seen a chihuahua listed as a cirneco....just wrong the breeds colors are red brown in various shades but none so dark to be called black

just find a reputable breeder at a dog show that does hip, eye, thyroid tests before breeding ive seen the pups priced around 1,500.00 this year. i am getting an Ibizan hound in about 2 years and it will cost me the same. pet quality is useually 1,000 and thats with a spay neuter contract.

i have a cenico'del etna/ pharoah hound execpt he's black and the cool part is he's more pharoah hound, and we got him from the shelter for $25!!!! he already got shots nutered (idk how to spell that :P) everything. i think he is a great first dog, so people GET DOGS FROM THE SHELTER!!!!!!

We have two. They're definitely a specialty breed. We adore them, but discourage most people from getting Pharaohs because of the extremely high level of exercise and daily training required in order to keep them happy and healthy. You can't take them off leash except in fenced areas; their prey drive is unreal and recall is iffy at best.

Really friendly dogs!

People are saying you can't find tal-Feneks from shelters but there have been some in the Gozo SPCA and the malta SPCA : P
U won't find one from a rescue or a shelter... ALWAYS BUY FROM A BREEDER!!!! this is a specialty breed!!!

They are never in Rescues and are never in Shelter. I have NEVER seen one in a Petstore, and I think you're ill educated in the world of dogs. Nothing is wrong with responsible breeders.
