@teched246 depends which translation you look at. The pure aramaic pre-greek translation used a word that was relevent to both trees and wooden structures, including crosses.

@biomechanical1976 Why do you think God of there is a God of the old testament? Perhaps the western form of Christianity has influenced you more than you think.

@giorgiv18 i believe that jesus's message of love and spiritual maturaty was seperate to the bible and the old testiment god, i think what god he was one with is the force/source you talk about, if jesus was one with the god of the old testiment he would have being the first to stone mary magdelen, and anyone else that sinned, or got drunk or disrespected their parents or ate to much , or lied ect ect ect ect ect , hence the father that jesus was talking about was nottheoneinthebible

@chrisreynoldsable I am an Eastern Orthodox Christan.Let me inform you what we believe, before generalize Christians. There is no angry magic old man in the sky that is spying on you in the bathroom and will dent you to a place where you will be tortured for eternity, because he was deeply offended by what he saw you doing in the bathroom, while shooting lightning bolts at people who don't believe in him. We believe in a personal force driving all things in the universe.

@freakclub99 Don't listen to 1999521! There's a documentary made refuting Zeitgeist's claims called "Zeitgeist Refuted Final Cut" I mean, Acharya S declares Christianity to have a violent root, but fails to recognize that the Bible condemns violence towards innocence. Jesus' words in John 13:35 were "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
