  • I totally can empathise, sometimes I have these bursts of energy were my mind becomes stimulated and I can continue writing my novel. But most times I can never finish writing my novel because I just don't feel stimulated by my wild imagination.

I have such a wild imagination and I can come up with amazing metaphors and stuff, but lately I've just felt so incomplete.

  • @TheNobodyPMK Well I'm glad to say that I found some inspiration and I managed to finish that story for the contest. I made the decision myself to do it. Sometimes, even if there isn't inspiration, you have to say a big 'fuck you' to whatever is chaining you and go through with whatever it is you had planned for yourself.

  • @lukkazofazeroth I'm going in as an I.T.

When i look at my friends, they're all happy. all of them, they have a lot to hold onto where as i only have a thread.

I'm not really sure whats the thread that keeps me here today. What i do know is its the strongest thread in existence. Good question.

  • @Johnwantsacar Well that's a good choice. Out of the line of fire is a good thing.

It's not a good idea to compare yourself in those terms with other people. I know it's really easy to say, look what she has or look how good he has it, but that will only cause sickness for you.

I feel the same way, friend. Might be a good idea to do some reflecting on why you're still here. I know that in my case, it's probably a kind of hope. I still have things I want to accomplish.

  • @LukkazOfAzeroth Well, its more of i have this conversation with my friends and they can never relate. Thats why i compare.

  • @Johnwantsacar I'm in that boat as well. People being unable to relate to my situation or my viewpoints creates a lot of unhappiness for me. Thankfully, I have a small few who do listen to me, so at least I have that.

Like I said, comparing yourself to them will only make you sick. That sort of thing leads to a deep rut that can be very difficult to get out of.

  • I definitely relate. I've been through so much in my life, that now that I've gotten myself out of it, I feel like I have nothing. I've been nothing, because I've made nothing. I've done nothing but try to escape my pain. I haven't written. Writing's the only concrete goodness I've ever had, and now I can't do it anymore. I feel muted. Existing. Received my third diagnoses that I still cant afford to treat. And my romantic interest turned out to be not what I thought, which hurt me a lot. Idk :/

  • @Johnwantsacar I've felt like this since I was about 18, so quite awhile of this nonsense. And yes, it is extremely frustrating. Makes me want to cry out in extreme anger. What area of the Navy did you want to serve? I'd never endorse signing up for that sort of stuff, but it might help you.

The images of people, are they a symbolic representation of something? Or a literal "They need to die"? What's the thread that's keep you from falling off the cliff?
