Duluth Central 4 Two Harbors 3 - 1/8/08 @ DECC

Wow, what a win for a Central Trojan hockey team that's struggled this season. Matt Sonday scored two goals helping the Agates storm out to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd period until Junior C Riley Kolquist of the Trojans scored a shorthanded goal on a nifty pass from Junior F Blaze Campanella. Central Sophomore F Matt Beauleau scored a power-play goal to cut the Agates lead to one. Third period score 3-2 Agates until Junior D Brian Bauers scores to even the score at three. Junior F Jonny Ylitalo scored the eventual game winning goal but the real hero had to be Trojan's Senior G Dylan Orn who faced 35 shots and kept his cool during the dreaded 6-4 disadvantage as the Trojans, having taken a penalty and the Agates goalie Kurt Hilton on the bench, earn a hard fought game and win at home in front of over 1,000 fans. And as is customary after every high school hockey game in MN the two teams congratulate each other on a hard fought game.
