If you are in Great Britain it may be called a single stitch. I am only familiar with the American terminology for crochet stitches. This is a slip stitch.

Very clear ... thanks heaps. Now if I could only figure out how to stitch into the slip stitch ...it's driving me crazy! LOL

Thank you. It can be done but it is a snug fit to get the hook through the stitch.
