@atlan61 cool, thanks for the heads up, makes sense, I will have to think about it for sure!

@LovingRaw No not at all, since you inspire me, and I am ordering the book by the way, However if you were someone else, I would be skeptical. What Im saying your get agazillion views a day, from peps who havent heard of you, and might want to consider this, so they might get the impression you just want to sell stuff, without realy geting to know you. just saying. the very best to you anyway, and looking forward to getting that book.

Is there a juice fast that would work for athletes who don't want to lose excessive muscle mass or (even better) allow for muscle growth? I want to do a juice fast but am a competing jiu jitsu practitioner and don't want to lose too much power and/or endurance, and would definitely want to continue the strenuous workouts we do at the gym.
So yeah, are there any high protein juices that would also provide the proper amount of carbs? Also, should one continue taking vitamins?

@TheJungleCook to be quite honest, I don't believe so. I did a one month juice fast prior to a heavy workout routine, and then have smoothies the entire time, and felt that I didn't get the gains I wanted. What you could do is bulk up on healthy protein, then when you ready end with a 5 day juice fast to strip off excess weight and detox a bit.

@LovingRaw So would a five day fast provide with me with the desired effects of rejuvenation? Don't really care about the weight loss, but have just been feeling groggy as of late and all the doctor wants to do is either give me pills or just tell me to deal with it... Don't like either of those options.
Thanks for the fast reply, btw, and if you haven't already... Check out a documentary titled "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead." It's a great film that follows two unhealthy ppl on a juice fast.

@TheJungleCook well that is going to be different for everyone, depending on how much of a hard time you have given you body. I did a 100 day fast, and went through many levels of detoxing and rejuvenation. But yeah, you will feel a different for sure. But its only a jump start, you will want to continue eating healthy too, with as much raw food as you can. Yes, great movie!

Can you pinpoint me to a video you have done on food addiction and the feelings that come up after you stop abusing food? (like how you might feel lost or confused with yourself after recovering from a food addiction....thinking "whats next in life" ya know?) or if you dont have one already can you make one on this topic? Im kinda struggling with this right now (no cravings for food, thats not what I mean but like this internal thing going on with almost like a semi depression you could say)
