  • Fr. Bédard was from my hometown, St-Rémi in Quebec. Iwrote his biography at UMASS Boston in 1994. I spent 2 wonderful years researching in Fall River. Thanks for posting this video. It brings back great memories.

  • amazing the church and many other bulidings burned down but a lone statue stands....

  • my grand father had to go to that fire at the notre dame

  • The Kerr Mill Fire was a tragedy that mill was around for many years. I remember going to it when I was young. Fire seems to be an epidemic in Fall River. It's terrible many of the homes, churches, and businesses are historical.

  • i live near lafeyette park

  • I was nine yrs old. Coming home from Holy Name School, my Grandfather and I watched The steeples fall. The fire took many homes, and other buildings, including my Mom's beauty shop on Pleasant St. A hot cinder fell in my Grandmother's yard, Stafford rd, Tiverton.

  • I remeber that church when i was growing up in the north end of Fall River i was amazed of the size of it and the big clock that shine at night it was a great church.

  • jazzycal22, A GREAT job and nice video posted Thanks...

  • Church fires and Mill fires are the toughest blazes to contain. I remember that fire in '82. I also remember the Kerr Mill fire in '87. Smoke could be seen for miles.
