  • So how does it fell that after 6 years of protesting has not mad a difference. Even democrats do not take the protest seriously anymore.

  • Couldn't you say that the practices of exercising our rights are equally as important as the protests themselves? I think it's safe to say so.

  • This protest was a completely peacful one, made up of an extended moment of silence and veterans holding a banner. The only one yelling was from a drunken bum who threw his speakers into the street. If anyone said something about killing the police, that anger came from the way the veterans were handled before being arrested.

  • the 6 year anniversary protests were held in every major city in the country that weekend. Every protester isnt capable of traveling to DC to protest, but those on the east coast who could, did.

  • Its disgusting when Black Block members storm a mall and knock down woman and kids in the process. Say what you will, but they are there along side you at every protest fighting for their civil liberties.

Seems like you condon there behavior. Otherwise, you peple would ask them to leave. It seems you people don't care as long as you have a big turn out of people.

Wouldn't your efforts be better suited for DC, where government might pay attention, rather than SF.

  • Everyone has a right to exercise their beliefs. Unfortunately, people like you direct your anger on SF citizens, and local law enforcement. Peaceful protest is fine, but the behavior I saw that day was disgusting. People chanting

"kill the police" has nothing to do with Iraq and our troops. You might say, "that wasn't us," but there you people were condoning all that aggression.

Our key represenatives are doing a better job of preserving rights than people acting innocent bystanders.

  • Honestly what could be more constructive than trying to preserve the civil liberties that this war has begun to destroy? I have to admit, If I die tomorrow, I'll be damn proud of how I spent my life.

  • It's really sad that people cannot respect others for excercising their rights, whether they agree with the message or not. I "unfortunatley" spend my mornings working for an independent family and my afternoons living a sober life.. In which I sometimes spend fighting for what I believe in (which happens to include disagreeing with the killing of over one million iraqi and 4,000 us service members).

  • The Dems NEVER took the protest seriously there "evansville70" that's because they are made up of the same people who the republicans are made up of. Corporate pigs. Thanks for posting this and thanks to those who were brave enough to not stand by while millions of deaths result from our countries madness.
