John McCain Trashes American Workers

A rare videoclip of John McCain from April 2006, trashing the work ethic of American workers. In it, he doubts that any American would pick lettuce, even if offered $50 per hour.

Just another example of how out of touch the man who can't keep track of his houses really is.

I called all of his offices trying to get one of those jobs. They all told me he never said it. Not that the work is easy but, FWIW, a "whole" season runs five to six months. Oh, the job pays about $8.37 per hour not $50. They have trouble finding enough immigrant labor to do it because construction and motel/hotel work pays more.

Of course people would do it for $50/hr. Just because you lazy idiots won't, doesn't mean there aren't millions of hardworking people out there who wouldn't jump at the opportunity. Working three jobs is a fucking norm, and most people face a titanic struggle every day in this country JUST TO TREAD WATER. @Pizuzuzimmer bullshit. you dont know me and you dont know what ive been through and what ive been willing to go through. from sports to college to the work force. ive never quit and i never would, and ive worked some pretty tough blue collar jobs in my time, both in the outdoors as well as in grueling non stop factories with little ventilation and plenty of heat. know who and what you are talking about before you open your weasely little america hating trap, boy.
