  • @m0rtyr Definitely not. It sounds studio recorded/mixed, and there are reverb/echo effects used on the vocals. Even still, I agree. Great recording.

  • @RunningWild89 THAT is the beauty of the Melvins - they can deliver sheer brutal heaviness devoid of death metal genre self-parody and do it with succint simplicity and elan.

    Don't let the simplicity fool you though - Crover's drums are set up like an art form and in the studio he matches Buzz's subtleties and Les Paul weight to bring something special amid that magic molasses and amber.
