This is a demonstration of the sound code I worked on. ProSonic now supports WAV, GYM, and VGM sound formats (and soon the OGG format.) VGM was due to popular demand -- I hate the format myself, but nobody seemed too thrilled about GYM logs. So, hopefully this helps.
ProSonic will also detect clipping of sound before it happens and will lower the audio levels to avoid it while compressing the sound so the loudness remains unchanged. Game designers are typically not sound engineers, nor should they be, so that's why I added this feature in.
Where can I download the newest version of this program? I really can't find it.

The 08/20/08 version (last public release), along with a full archive of earlier versions, is available at prosonic (dot) 4shared (dot) com (filtered because of the stupid spam filter YouTube has)
Keep in mind that the engin has progressed far beyond that public release and isn't nearly as buggy and has many more features now. In other words, take it with a grain of salt, because a second public release will be happening in the coming months =)
