How long do you expect the polypropylene 10-0 suture last?
-
Did you have to go trough the eye wasn't there another way?

At one point i thought he was just going to pull his eye out. lol

Excellent question. It should last the rest of her life. Sometimes it gets broken and that is why we tend to use more of the 9/0 now. If it does break, it can be resutured in another surgery.

I have marfans and am having this surgery done in one week, by Dr. Cionni. I have to admit, I really wish I had seen that after the surgery:) Wow, this is so crazy to watch, I am wondering though how much of an improvement in eye sight is there? I ware a -15.5 Contact, and am not sure what is a realistic expectation. Thank You!

This girl, had a 20/200 best corrected vision with some degree of laszy eye. One month after the surgery she saw 20/30+2, it was amazing. She is very happy. I think Dr.Cionni will do even a better job than my self. Good luck with your surgery, and send him my greatings.
