Stop Israel's massacre of Palestinians in Gaza - Protest in London 28 December 2008

Over 2000 people protested outside the Israeli embassy against the slaughter of innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza, in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle to exist. The protest became so large that the police lost control of the streets, forcing them to call for reinforcements. When I left the protest as darkness fell the streets outside the Israeli embassy were still filled with chanting protesters as police struggled to regain control.

Yes, definitely, stop the massacre in.. Darfur-millions, thousands of arabs killed by their own government in Egypt, Syria, Iran, Iraq,where many more Arabs have been killed by their own people.The lack of insight of whats really happening in the world, the emphasis on a tiny country trying to stop 10s of thousands of rockets being fired on its towns' civilians-all tells the same story: "Lets blame the Jews".They've killed a tiny fraction of those killed by us Arabs but what do we care...

@rowlandale Israel gets away with (so called) "injustice" because there are far too many people in this world who have no stake in the outcome of this seemingly never ending conflict and so avert their gaze from what goes on there.If you are neither Jewish /Israeli/ Palestinian/muslim then you are an outsider looking in on yet another never ending warzone.The fact that year-on-year tourist numbers to Israel are increasing is perhaps evidence for that people care less.
