The main 38-story tower was built in 1991... hardly out-of-date. It was imploaded to make needed room for some MEGAresort that is so uneconomical that its developer is halting construction. Whatever bank financed demolishing this perfectly fine property for something that's expensive and not profitable lost billions, and they just got bailed out by Washington ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG

Yes this is a superb video of the event and one of the best I have see. Stayed ther for a few nights in 2000 and sad to see it go but boy did it get a wicked send off... I wonder what will be in its place soon...
