Minoru Hokari, a young Japanese man, spent months living with the Gurindji in remote Australia, studying their lore and writing an influential book (in Japanese) about Gurindji traditions and view of history.
Before his untimely death in 2004 from cancer, at the age of only 33, Minoru completed a PhD on the Gurindji at the Australian National University.
This video shows how working with the Gurindji gave new meaning to his life.
