Emotional Intelligence involves being aware of how you feel and managing your emotions intelligently. The students from Roleystone Community College made a film on emotional intelligence which shows how emotions can build barriers between people. However, the script writer wrote a plot which showed how emotions can be managed intelligently.

In this video, the fifth in the series, the film's script writer interviews emotional intelligence coach, Rachel Green. She asks her to clarify why emotional intelligence is important and to define exactly what is emotional intelligence. They discuss some of the important emotions covered in the film, why it matters that you know how you feel, and what the script writer learnt about emotional intelligence.

It is important viewing for any school, teacher or educational establishment wanting to develop emotional intelligence in their students, or for parents wanting to develop emotional intelligence in their children or teenagers. Better still it is a great film for teenagers who want to develop emotional intelligence, as the script writer and actors were teenagers too.

Find out now the answer to the question, "What is emotional intelligence and why is it important?"
