@tylercheribini - Yes. Sharks don't usually bite into things like we do: straight into the meat; they don't have the jaws for it ;) (yes it's punny). In fact, the pressure from the bite isn't that great; some scientists say it's similar to ours. After clamping down, they'll either shake their prey from side to side or roll like you saw in this film to create the sawing movement their teeth need to rip off a chunk of meat or kill their prey.

When you go back & watch this with the knowledge that there is available, you know that Jaws wasn't eating humans b/c he liked the taste. Jaws was in cold waters & disoriented & hungry. It ate Chrissie b/c animals don't swim at night: it thought she was a wounded animal. It ate the dog b/c dogs make the same noise as wounded animal. It ate the boy b/c at 1:45 you can clearly see that he looks like a great white's fave food: a sea lion. Jaws acting accord. to nature's dictates. No malice there.
