After a RPG session goes horribly wrong, Mike and Stu, second generation comic book store owners and siblings, suffer a crippling robbery at the hands of Skeezel and Dingleberry, a duo of rival comic book store employees. Events are complicated further when Skeezel and Dingleberry inadvertently swindle an original graphic novel written and illustrated by Nate, Mike and Stu's nephew, a college student. One year later, Nate comes home from school and our series begins in earnest.
Every Wednesday is a comedy maxi-series, based on geek culture and heavily rooted in comic books, sci-fi/fantasy, film, video games, and RPGs, both table top and MMO.
Mumblecore is the word. The first season of Every Wednesday was filmed on a Canon (HFR100) and edited with an existing copy of Adobe Premeire. We made a conscious effort to create the best product possible when faced with absolutely no budget and a limited time on set. I bought a 40 oz. and a jar of mayo. The rest is a credit to our actors, our crew, our friends, our families, local Metro-Detroit musical acts, and amazing local businesses that gave us everything we could ask for and more.
A true learning experience, a labor of love, a reference heavy, corgi-loving, pact between a band of brothers that may require multiple viewings to catch every joke (and then another multiple viewings because you fucking enjoyed it so much, right?)
