In this video, Akal Srur, a resident of Niilin village in the West Bank, was interviewed about his learning about the Holocaust, and its relevance to his situation as a Palestinian. The interview took place on Yom HaShoah, April 21, 2009. Six weeks later, June 5, he was shot dead by Israeli soldiers during a demonstration against the Separation Fence. Tragic and ironic that just as he was beginning to learn about the Holocaust, he was killed. May his death contribute to the creation of a Palestinian nation, and to peace between Palestine and Israel. More info: http://www.heartoftheother.com
