@420protoman With this mindset you must be freed as soon as possible ...

@personzorz Too bad you're right only about the first line :-)

"Death is a disease" - I could hardly agree more
"it's like any other" - uh, not really.
"and there is a cure" - uh, no, not for creatures such as we.
"and I will find it." - no.

in Samuel Bulter's novel "Erewhon" which was wrote in the late 1800s... he warned us of a future where man merges with machine and in the end humanity loses touch with what we really are... machine takes over.... what did you think the film The Matrix was about? look up the company Gemini Somatics and Dr. Edward Darmos..... i'm the only one that will ever tell u this. .trust me , no one else on here knows. start viewing some of my favs if u wanna learn about the cube of Saturn

that's the whole new age deception... they wanna trick ppl about the one consciousness, then slowly introduce it by methods of advanced technology... don't u know who the BORG are form star trek? they are a collectve consciousness who used to be actual humans and other aliens that were assimilated and turned into BORG. they fly in giant black cubes.... it's reference to Saturn... that's what pink floyd meant when they sang "welcome to the machine" i can't explain it al in comment

jesus and odin were both peirced in the rib with a spear, the bible is metaphors... u just have to know how to read it properly ... i'm not a christain. i don't think u understand... nice of you to assume tho... dood have you seen the DVD Trancendant man... well i have more than once... Kurzeil is scared to die. he wants to merge with computers so he can live forever. once you merge with the machine you become part of it physically and consciousely as well. u don't understand yet

@420protoman you mentioned Bible and that pretty much sums your position well. In the movie, Jackman's character is like me and not you. He doesn't believe in afterlife and wants to live no matter what. Maybe it makes sense to you that someone that believes in no afterlife doesn't want to die. I have no idea what you are talking about with the 'one consciousness' thing. I imagine a more Tron-like future, and Kurzweil says likewise.

there is this part of the bible that says. men will wish for death but it will not come to them.... that's Kurzeil's Singularity..... singularity = one consciousness. the new age.... you don't get it... the whole new age mumbo jumbo about one consciousness is a scam... It's like the BORG from Star Trek. they are also one consciousness. if you wanna be like that have fun ... loser

@420protoman what a silly comment. Wanting to live and being scared of death are two different things. I want to live today, so why not tomorrow? Keep asking yourself that question, and when you say, I'd rather be dead, then die. That's Kurzweil's philosophy. Additionally, he assumes a technological future where you may pick your age (which comes with hormone levels, strength, and so on). I, for one, would like to be 25 for as long as I choose and explore the stars, you can die if you want

ppl who are scared of death are freaks like Ray Kurzweil and ppl who want to become cyborgs like he does... death is freedom
Determination driven by dispair... quite an interesting concept, but yes. This part was very well done.
