Great movie, makes me want to own a farm in the mountains. Great quiet tranquil country life.

THE BEST MUSICAL SCORE OF ANY FILM- EVER! One of my top 10 favorite films of all time and I don't dig romantic tragedies at all. This film is just one of the most breathtaking pieces of art that I have seen.

I never really like Alfred... I gained a little respect for him towards the end but I feel that he had little pride for his family and tristan always felt with his heart. When Samuel died he was a mess and it is sad to think that she did not wait for him because if she did she would not be as miserable. Alfred was alos friends with those thugs who killed Isabelle and never sought justice. I had a lot more respect for Tristan!
