Watch Professional Wrestling Deaths of 2011 NOW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GeADlFkOGw

The athletes you see in this video are top-notch performers. Whether they wrestled in the independent scene or wrestled in the big leagues, each and every one of them have dedicated their lives to the world of professional wrestling, but not without having to go through the pain and heartaches that go along with working in the business.

As fans, we should thank them, because truthfully, the media and other sources do not bother ever thanking them. Yes, the media is correct: There is a problem in the professional wrestling business. Yes, there are numerous wrestlers dying each year (as can be seen in the video), and yes there will most likely be more dying this year. As sad as that is, we can't ignore what they do for us and that is, of course, entertain us like no other athlete can. Yes, wrestling is fake, but there are real injuries and their movements are indeed real. The in-ring work is exhausting and makes the wrestlers be in pain and for this, they seek dangerous ways of healing their pain. Addiction pain medication, illicit drugs, and alcohol are just some of the things wrestlers use to get on with their lives. Don't get me wrong: Not all wrestlers use pain killers nor do many of them seek alcohol as a way to go on with the day.

Regardless, we should thank these men and women who have put their bodes on the line for us. They are the only athletes who put their bodies on the line pretty much every day of the year. Other sports, the athletes require some time off. For the amount these men and women work and the risk they put their bodies at when performing in the ring, they simply do not make enough. Hockey players make far more money than these men and women and it's a sad reality, but the good thing is: these men and women love what they are doing. They walk past that curtain and get a pure adrenaline rush. When you see these men and women live, you feel part of that adrenaline rush.

For those who have lived short lives, which the majority do, I wish to say Rest in Peace. For those who live long lives, which is rare, but some do, they often live their lives in pain. These men who have lived to be into their 80s and 90s are so rare in the wrestling business, it's a shock to even see a wrestler live for such a long time.

For those who I haven't included in this video, but have passed away this year, I wish to send my condolences to their families and friends.

This video is dedicated to them, to the wrestlers mentioned in the video, and to the wrestlers all around the world who perform each day and night for us.

Thank You.

  • Oh for crying in a bucket!!! For the love of Christ people, If you cannot say something positive about someone(especially a dead one), then sit back ,relax, and enjoy a nice cup of "Shut the Fuck Up"! With my compliments, These guys & gals gave more to people at their own expense physically than any of you pundits could in 10 (ten) "for the numerically challenged" lifetimes!

  • where the fuck is jc bailey if you dont know who he is look him up he +was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and should be treated as such

  • Wow! Thought I knew most of those who passed away but I was blown by some of those REAL old timers that I knew who passed away & was never mentioned on most of the sites. Great job, what research! You have 2011? Really, I am really grateful for this. .brought so many wonderful memories....thx!

  • @Gorbachenko Shut up fatso

  • Yes, these people gave it their all to entertain us. NO profession that demands my body be crippled so badly I'm on overdoses of painkillers all the time, or using cocaine or steroids is worth it!. MOST die or are crippled WAY too young . If ENTERTAINMENT industry is going to make them die so young, that entertainment has GONE WAY WRONG! I remember wrestling in the 70's and 80's. I enjoyed going to the matches, but in those days, they did NOT INJURE themselvers! It's not worth your life!

  • Who are these people? I have been watching wrestling since the 90's and i don't no these people

  • does any one here wrestle? im very new to the ring, but been a fan all my life, it is painful (performing) but you get a good rush knowing the fans love what they see..but it is a shock knowing so many died so young...btw im now (past my prime, but fitter than most 34)
