Struggling as usual to make ends meet, our favorite space cowboys hope to nab some of the unusually high number of bounties that have been posted recently.

That is, except for Faye Valentine, who decides she would rather go hunting for a famous space pirate's hidden treasure instead. Faye leaves the Bebop and crosses paths with an inexperienced bounty hunter named Kent, who unknowingly possesses what may be the most significant clue to the treasure's location...

Meanwhile, Kent's hotheaded partner (and twin sister) Bianca butts heads with Spike as they pursue the same bounty. But after drawing the attention of a disgruntled ex-cop with an intense dislike of bounty hunters, Spike and Bianca find themselves reluctantly teaming up in order to survive.

COWBOY BEBOP: THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME is a feature-length "lost episode" adapted from the PlayStation 2 videogame "Cowboy Bebop: Serenade of Recollection" which was released in Japan in 2005. A US release was planned but ultimately cancelled. The game features voicework by the show's original cast and three new songs composed by Yoko Kanno ("Diamonds", "Pearls" and "Einstein Groovin'", all performed by Ilaria Graziano).

  • Is the Japanese voice actor for Spike the same one as Kaji from Evangelion?

  • Yes, they are both voiced by Koichi Yamadera.

  • @SymbioteIII I was making a joke because they usually publish japanese games already made and, redub them. Oh and, dude I agree Cowboy Bebop english version is the best, bar none.

  • @skyguy15 Err. A bit late, but Square Enix had nothing to do with this game. What made you think that they did?

  • @maghu84 Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down, troll boy. You know English Bebop is superior. They even have a good selection of English songs in the OST. Quite clearly a heavily westernized anime, and if I recall correctly, even Watanabe himself has claimed he prefers the English version.

  • @SymbioteIII Cowboy Bebop in english?! hah, go fuck yourself.

  • @illuminatioracle Calm down, kiddo. I saw it in 2001 when it was released in English in America. Didn't even like Toonami after Moltar stopped hosting it, and only made the Spike connection with "TOM" within the past few years. Don't be so butthurt.

  • @SymbioteIII maybe you should have caught it on fansub in 1998 and not on cartoon network in like 2008 at the age of 10, then. maybe you'd appreciate the toonami guy not being the voice of spike more.

  • @tkeely4777 Man, oh man. :( If only, if only. I'm sure they'd make a profit if they released the game. May as well release it late just, if not only to please me. Lol. Thanks for the interesting information!

  • @SymbioteIII Funny you should mention this. During a panel at an anime convention, Mary Elizabeth Mcglynn mentioned that the entire game was recorded by the english cast TO COMPLETION, and she has all of the recordings on her computer at home..but can't release them due to legal issues.

To think that time and money was spent domesticating this entire game, only for it to never see release..

Random tidbit: I still have my preorder receipt from Gamestop back in the day...

  • WHY THE HELL WASN'T THIS RELEASED IN THE US?!! I demand it be done!..
