(Demi's POV)
I dropped Joe's jacket to the floor and lifted his white t shirt over his head as I used my other arm to hold him up. I threw the shirt on top of the jacket on the ground and went to his pants. I couldn't believe he was making me do this. I unbottoned his pants and slowly pulled the zipper down, I tugged on the waist of his pants to pull them off of him. I couldn't help but stare at every contour of his bare chest, and blame his constant working out instead of going to class routine for that. I felt him grab my wrist and I looked up at him. He looked so lonely and innocent, like a child. "I love you," he whispered.
I sighed and squeezed his hand, "Joe, please. You're making this harder than it has to be." I pulled my hand away and made my way over to his dresser to pull out a pair of his baggy sweats, I returned to him slipped them on him. I took a peak at him just as I was about to go, hoping he had past out again, but I immediatly regreted looking. "Oh Joe..." I said, looking into his wet eyes. He was crying. In all the years I have known him, not once have I seen him shed a tear. Not even when he broke his femur, one of the most painful and difficult bones to break. I removed my own coat that I just noticed was still on and crawed into bed behind him. I knew I was leading him on, but he was my best friend, and I couldn't stand to see him hurt like this. I put my arm around his waist as we spooned and he softly cried into his pillow. He stopped after just a few moments and I could tell he was embarrassed. "Hey, Joey turn around." He turned around so that we were facing each other, our bodies close enough to feel one another's breaths. I moved a curl from his forehead and gently brushed my knuckles from his temple to his chin. "I love you, Joey. You know that right?" He nodded slowly, his eyes closed. "I hope you forgive me, someday. I never wanted to hurt you and I could easily fall in love with you b-but..you're my best friend and you'll all I got. I couldn't imagine losing you." His eyelids fluttered lightly until I finally saw his cinnimon eyes with their caramel specs. c
"I'm not angry with you, D." He whispered, "And i'm not going anywhere."
"Then please...just promise me you won't try anything again? It hurts too badly rejecting you. And seeing you hurt because of me."
"Okay."
(Joe's POV)
A month has passed. It's been a long, painful and lonely month. Demi is always out with Tony. That scum bag. And she says she couldn't imagine losing me? Well, i've already lost her. It hurt so bad seeing her with him. I'd caught them making out a couple of times and that image was permanently tattooed into my brain. I can't even remember the last conversation Demi and I shared. I think it was about pepperoni or sausage for our pizza for dinner. I stomped out of my room and into the living room ready to yell at Demi for being so damn distant, but then I saw her sitting on the floor, her back resting on the door, trembling. "Demi?" I asked. She didn't respond so I sat next to her and held her close to me, "What's wrong?"
She looked at me with red cheeks and eyes from the tears that wear pouring from her sad, doe eyes. "H-he ch-cheated on me."
