Video of the Week 7 - Can't Hardly Wait

"Video of the Week" was originally a project I had on my myspace page to make it a bit more interesting. The aim was to every week (in reality this occured less often) sit down and play a song straight into the mic. The result is a varying mix of covers and own material, rough and imperfect, but alive.

This one is by a band call The Replacements, one of the greatest rock bands of the 80's. Westerberg is god.

even though u mess up the intro, this is the best solo version of CHW i have heard. even better than paul's own live one. love it. in standard E tuning are you ?

Thanks! I wouldn't say it beats Pauls version though... :) The tuning is just standard guitar tuning...

Passionate. Beautiful. Excellent re-working of an already classic song. Vocals? Eh, not bad. But IMHO it needs a bit more bass/growl/and mostly volume to carry off such spirited playing. Our Hero (Tho a good showman) drowns himself out with his own guitar. Love the tap at 1:30. I'd love to see this chap do "Tenderness" by General Public... Bet he'd tear the roof off
