Thanks man. I downloaded a map of the systems. Shows where's everything is. Helps a lot. Didn't realize how big it was.

love this game (X3 AP) decided F it took my Centaur running EBCG on the front into a xenon
area, i managed to take down 3 Q's and limp out at 5% hull and no shields and 2 guns left! took me 3 hours to limp her to a shipyard! very fun game, i know EBCG aren't the best but i wanted to have fun!

Next you should try to dogfight with an m2 (:^B

@ImMOrTaLBG92 True that, when i started with X2 i deleted it after the first try, but when i gave it a second try it was awesome, which finally brought me to X3. That game is the real deal when talking about space games.

The game is awesome, but got very shit and pathetic Storyline and its very very hard to learn, there is no tutorial, you are just put in the middle of big universe with a tiny ship and nothing is explained...

Nice Nova action! For a long time it was my favourite ship, probably because the rear turret made silkworms a LOT less scary for a novice like me. Once I tried out the Split Mamba though, I honestly never looked back. Easily my top M3 - with a couple of HEPTs, some PACs and a pair of PBEs (for missles and those annoying M5s), and maxed out engines, you really don't miss the shields or turret, and that speed, in a heavy, is just glorious.

And btw, X2 and X3 are 2006 and 2005 year games, that means they are pretty old games and actually they not have very good graphics to heavy the system (they have very good graphics for time of their development actually) the only thing, that can be heavy for system is if their engine is not very optimized
-
@0liverwarren well, actually, you can optimize any system for max performance, i optimized my Athlon XP and 6200 with 1Gb of RAM to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R or COD4 or even COD6 (i played all this games on my system and they all runs on 25+ FPS, which is pretty comfortable), so, if you not running any antivirus (which is pretty heavy for system) and actually other programs it will run smooth and btw, don't, don't underrate low-end systems, they can be heavily optimized
What are you running in your system? I feel when i buy this game it wont perform very well.

@kieran369 My Rig is decent but not stupendous. Geforce 8600, 2 gb ram, Dual core Athlon. I had to play a little with the graphics settings to get it smooth but it was still the high end of the graphics settings for me.

@jjoshaugh Haha, to be honest, Geforce 8600 and 2gb ram, with a dual core athlon ... is what I would class as a 'poor' system. 8600 was not a performance card when it came out, and that was what, 4 year ago? However I'm not trying to be mean - this is an awesome video. My point is, this game should run well on any modern system :) Even a lower end one.

@0liverwarren Oh no offense taken. I haven't upgraded in quite a while so its good to have a perspective of someone "on the market" as it were. But yes, it just shows that you should not be afraid to buy the game even if you concider your system as a poor one, as you can and will get visuals like this.

@jjoshaugh I'm using a laptop now so I can't even upgrade - it sucks :( Out of interest, is this game worth buying? Can you get a bigger ship than a 'fighter' ?

@0liverwarren Yep. You can fly anything up to and including capital ships. The Hyperion that I am flying is a frigate and pretty much the supership of the game, as in with the speed of a fighter and turrets. There are far bigger ships though.
As an economic space sim X3R brilliant and somewhat better in that regard than its sequel Terran Conflict. TC is better and more balanced in terms of fighting though. I still play both games at different times.
