Yup. And Mines. And dual-Zookas, and about anything else you can imagine.
For all it's worth it didn't help, hence why Project V started.
A lot more realistic than SEED, where they jumped right to MS Lol.

@KiraxxxLacus The ball was actually quite an effective unit in combat because it was so damn fast and had great armor for it's size. The primary weapon had a lot of punch, too.

I believe it was never designed for combat, more so for colony construction, but when the war started they placed guns on them.
