@oldmanriver1956 Your right, even in ND it's not easy nor cheap to get the oil out of the ground. It takes big expensive equipment and hardy tough individuals willing to brave the elements to work there. They deserve the money I feel. If it was cheap and cushy work everyone would be doing it. It is what it is and people have their opinions, but what they need to do try it once and they'll find out quick.

@WesternStar4900SA Alaska also has really high cost of living. I remember hearing it from a Judo buddy of mine. He lives in Fairbanks but comes back to his hometown and practices with us now and then.

@TheTerrorUforgot Japan and England also have cleaner fuel. So in turn it would cost more, plus they have to import all of it. It's still really expensive here, $1.36 a liter for diesel.

@smilingdonkey1 it costs money to clear routes to get to these places, It costs money for this equipment, It cost money for it to operate, It costs money for them to repair stuff, It cost money to pay the workers.

Hello, I never meant to imply that gas should be expensive. I was simply trying to show what we, as oil field workers go through to produce US oil. I have worked in Alaska's Prudhoe Bay ( America's Oilfield) for over 30 yrs. It is expensive to extract and get this oil to market.Believe me I am nt a big fan of big oil companies, but they have provided me with a great livelihood and an amazing career. I really gave no thought to the caption. I can see now, I should have. Its a Rolligon, Canadian
