About Head Coach Tony,
Tony has been Head Coach for the Palo Alto Swim Club since 1992. He is only the third head coach in the club's history. Prior to joining Palo Alto, Tony was the Head Age Group coach for Salinas Valley Aquatics which was also the club program he grew up in. He was voted Age Group Coach of the Year for Pacific Swimming in 1991 while coaching in Salinas.

As Head Coach for Palo Alto, Tony has had numerous athletes in the Top 16 nationally along with CCS Champions, Junior National Champions, Pacific Record-holders, National Finalist and Olympic Trials Finalist. He has also placed swimmers on International teams representing USA. The program continues to thrive and will be stronger as a member of PASA.

He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Southern California, with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He also swam at USC for four years and competed in the 1988 Olympic Trials. Tony also manages the swim department of the Palo Alto Sport Shop in downtown Palo Alto.


About Kohei,
Since joining PASA in 2007, Kohei has proven to be an invaluable asset to our team. Kohei works with all the different age groups and abilities in our program. This allows our staff to coach more effectively when Kohei is on deck. He is from Fukuoka, Japan and coached for his club team under the direction of his father who is a National level coach in Japan. Since arriving in the United States, he has also written a blog about his experience and it is nearing its one millionth hit!

Ya well guess what my swim team bleached there hair and right before sectionals there shaving all there hair off.
