    > where does the spoof part happen?

I was speaking of the entire song, but the "Uh-huh uh-huh, yo yo" would be the part that has ME interpreting the song as (possibly) a spoof of rap. (And definitely a very fun song!)

    > are you saying that rappers only rap about things that make them miserable and are boring?

Absolutely not. I use to go for walks on the boardwalk at the beach. Lots of people everywhere and someone was always going by or hanging out with a boom box blasting rap songs heavily laced with profanity, anger and negativity in the lyrics. To me, Rad sounded like it could be Smoosh's response to THAT TYPE of rap. That's just how Rad struck ME anyway. A great song -- I love it!

these girls are just good rappers.

  • this is a cute song... i like it i hope they can keep it up

  • Looks like Smoosh is

    getting down...to buisness

  • I've always thought of this song as a spoof of rap. The "Uh-huh uh-huh, yo yo" is SO GREAT... and it's all about having fun and being happy! Smoosh are the greatest! Thank you for posting this classic early performance!
