This is a scene,a few minutes into act 2 from Boris Eifman's ballet, Tchaikovsky, that he choreographed. Of course, Eifman used music by Peter Ilyich
Tchaikovsky and much familiar Tchaikovsky music.
I normally do not put small scenes of ballets since I normally like showing the entire ballets, but in a video done by ilyaballet1, one of the comments concerned this scene, so this scene is solely for that one youtube viewer.
The man in black at the barre is playing the role of the prince and the dancer is Sergei Zimin. The female lead in the ballet is supposed to be Nadezhda Von Meck( this site will tell you about her http://www.tchaikovsky-research.net/en/people/meck_nadezhda.html ), obviously a Russian girl that married a German. She is played by Eifman's long time prima ballerina, Vera Arbuzova (Arbuzova is not in this scene). Approximately, one year ago, Vera left Eifman to join the Mikhailovsky Ballet. She is still a wonderful dancer with an amazing jump for a dancer, who is now 17 years older than when this video was made. The girl in this scene is Tchaikovsky's wife, played by Elena Kuzmina. Tchaikovsky is played by Albert Galichanin. The alter ego is played by Igor Markov.

  • This video is in danger from copyright content claimed by Warner Music Group? Copyright to Tchaikovsky's music? How on earth is that possible? Someone in Youtube has probably got it wrong, that is simply not possible.

  • @tatiana10 I can only tell what they posted on my video when I finished uploading it. The same thing happened when I posted Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet, but I do not think that they ever told me what audio company had a copyright on Prokofiev's music.

  • Man... I'm gonna sound like Arnie Grape, but I must say:

    thank you...

thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.

I should've I know that if anyone around here could find this vid, I''d be you.

You're a very kind man; and as for I've seen, a brilliant dancer ant teacher.

Thank you very much for your attention; I'll be seenig you here.

  • @elemilex You are very welcome. I now have requests for the entire ballet, but if the Warner Music Group copyright is a problem, then everything will be wasted. When I find time, if this video is still showing, I will show the entire ballet. Is this cast identical to what you saw?

I´m downloading it now, just in case youtube takes it or its beautiful audio away

  • @Bnesque Read my revised description on the audio copyright claim of Warner Music Group.

  • @Bnesque If I had more time, that would be easy. There are a few videos that I wanted to upload, but i have no time. What you say is correct. it should be shown.
