A Fairytale Winter on Čierny Hron Forestry Railroad

Forestry Railroad of Čierny Hron is located in the middle of Europe, in Slovakia, country surrounded by Austria, Hungary, Poland, Czechia and Ukraine. Construction of this railroad began in 1908 as a result of a high demand for wood from deep Slovak forests. First train hit the track at the end of 1908. Overall lenght of the tracks reached more than 130 km in times of highest exploitation of wood. Forestry railway nowadays operates as a tourist attraction on 15 km reconstructed section of track Chvatimech - Čierny Balog - Vydrovo.

Čierny Hron Forestry Railroad operates daily from May until the end of August or throughout the whole year on your request.
