  • I have to say I love this video! :)

    But I have a question.

I'm a white American who will be getting married to my Korean girlfriend in 2016,

is it possible for me to have a traditional Korean wedding since I'm not Korean?

  • @benjerman92 don't you worry a thing. i've seen thousands of non-korean couples getting married in Korean traditional way. every korean would welcome you to have you be a part of the Korean traditional wedding. you're basically a part of the big family, Korean family! Congratulations!

  • i have been watching videos of diffrent traditional weddings all over the world and i have some questions for you if you don't mind answering; 1) what is the reason/symbol behind sharing a pepper? (im just guessing here so sorry if i got that wrong) and 2) why does the groom carry the bride on his back?

  • @toBe8ere 1) it is not a pepper but a dried date(some people call it a sugar date or palm date, it is a sort of fruit like small apple or a plum). the meaning behind sharing a date is to predict who is going to be in charge of all the finance of the newly married home. who ever gets the bigger chunk of date is predicted to be the one who handles money at home. it's not a serious thing, but more to bring laughter in a wedding. 2) it means that the groom thanks the bride for being his wife.

We Koreans don't want to see our country, Korea become like US, mutt country.

Don't move to Korea, or don't have mutt baby...

  • This is so beautiful, thanks for sharing your special day with us. The only traditional Korean wedding I had seen before this was the brief one they showed on the TV show M*A*S*H. This definitely expands on this and it really shows just how much respect and admiration Koreans have for their elders. Again, thanks for posting this!!

  • This is really lovely, I'm even more interested in Korea now. *sigh* If there were only some Korean classes around here... I'd love to learn the language and then go there :/

  • This is beautiful!!

  • This is a very beautiful Korean Wedding, taken place,in a Christian Church's Sunday School. You two look so magnificent aswell, but I pray for God's blessings upon you,and may His Son Jesus Christ surround you, with his everlasting love.God bless this Couple, through Jesus Christ or Lord.To God be the Glory!!
