American Dipper (Cinclus mexicanus) is seen here in its natural habitat. These birds make their home near shallow running streams. They have flaps on their nostrils which close when they dive into water. Also, they have amazing feathers which produce oil to keep them from getting wet.

Watch how they dive into water and come out with food.
