Eh-Tesla used to sit and read in his lab surrounded by electrical discharges. MArk Twain used to visit with him, and let the electricity run through him. Electricity handled properly is harmless, but spectacular!

Those who were straight-A students in history (unlike myself) are free to double-check me. But, I seem to remember reading that the electric chair was developed as a more painless method of capital punishment than hanging (which I believe was still part of the British justice system as late as the 1940's).

Saw the show today at Dingles Steam Fair and fairground heritage centre. Awesome, and a lot of fun.
