what kills me is that the guy who plays King Herod played Aberforth Dumbledore (Professor Dumbledore's brother) in the Harry Potter series. He's from northern Ireland, yet here he can totally pass for a Jewish king. That's some fine acting there :)

My name means holder of Christ :)
-
@FlowerChild65 Actually some of them have spray on tans.. Lol :P
-
@TheDavidedmond Jesus was of judeo-israelite/Hebrew (Semitic) stock, just as nowadays jordanians, syrians, majority of iraqis and people who are natives of Mesopotamia. Are they black? I dont think so, so u better think twice. Jesus was probably of medeterrenian race, oliveskinned and black hair... just like arabs and their semitic relatives.
-
@XsilverxxroseX Because of the life expectancy at that time.
-
@threetailedfox1 approximately 15 or 16 but back then that was pretty normal
-
Jesus is a black man. stop acting movies of him being white.

@fallup101 Oh Come Oh Emmanuel!!!

i've never seen this movie before now. i like it :) i didnt know Shoreh Aghdashloo was in this film ^_^ another great Nativity movie is the first part of the 1977 Anglo-Italian film Jesus of Nazareth. i like how the actors have Hebrew/Middle Eastern accents, gives it an authentic feel :)

@fallup101: Veni veni Emanuel (That's my name btw :-)

If anybody would like to know her age she was 14 I learnt this from a priest and some books
-
@electragoob She actually may very well be as young as 12, not that anybody knows for sure, but here she passes for about 16, I can accept that.
-
O Come O Come Emanuel
-

-
This came out in '06!? wow! i thought it was later
-

-
I just LOVE the soudtrack for this movie! It sends chills down my spine~!
-
@XsilverxxroseX ... How old was she when she gave birth to Jesus? I was never told about it in Primary.
-
i really love how realistic this is :) i'm constantly forgetting that Mary was really only a couple years older than me when she gave birth to Jesus
-
This is the perfect movie to watch every Christmas. :)
I like that they cast non-white actors in this. It's more accurate. I remember watching a version of the Nativity last year on the CBC and all the actors were white and Mary had an English accent. It was hilariously awful.
