What would you do if your boss or your pastor was coming to your house for dinner tonight? You wouldnt wait until the last minute to prepare - youd want to have plenty of time to make sure everything was presentable and in order, because you want to show your guest the appropriate level of respect.

In a similar way, believers need to prepare their hearts and lives for Christs return. Our sanctified lives need to reflect the joy and anticipation of the return of our Savior.

Last time we were together, John MacArthur was explaining from the gospel of Luke how our lives need to be humble gifts back to God-- gifts that reflect the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. John was pointing us to four ways we can spiritually prepare for the Lords return.

Lets rejoin his message now, and take another look at The Believers Gift to Christ.

  • Christians should not be divided into divisions or denominations. The bible says that we should all speak the same thing.

  • Please don't take this lightly

  • Well there is a God and since he created us and everything and not the other way around you demanding anything from him is absolutely silly. However he did demonstrate himself by coming down as a man in Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to our level and demonstrated plenty.

You chose not to accept the Bible, which has been tested with time and archeological evidence. You're right, there is no one true religion.. there is only Jesus Christ, God manifested in the flesh.

  • Jesus demonstrated many miracles in people's sight and they still rejected Him. Seeing miracles doesn't cause people to believe. Faith (trust) is an integral ingredient in all relationships. God revealed enough of His nature for us to be able to trust Him. He's shown through the events of history, the workings of nature, and through the life of Jesus, that He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, all-holy, unchanging, and eternal. In all that, He's shown He's worthy to be trusted.

  • "The fear of the Lord is the befinning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." Proverbs 1:7

  • If you don't believe He cames to us as Jesus, a gift of love and eternal life, salvation for our sins, The bible is historical documented accurate 100% especially the prophecys of Jesus' birth life and death and His return to Final judgement, If that is not Divine authority HOW DO YOU DEFINE IT???

  • God's Word (Bible) is the way He communicates with us.

  • To know Christ crucified is the most wonderful thing you may know in ur life.

  • @alexyerxa How do u prove it?
