@lanegane1 Just to add they have different responsibilities - the Driver's job is to the ARV to the scene in the safest way possible, the front seat officer has to gather as much information about the incident before arriving and is in constant liaison with other officers via the radio - and finally the guy you mention in the back seat has a map of london and must determine which route is the quickest. How do you tell the difference between an 'armed response vehicle' and a 'typical' Metropolitan Police car just by looking at them?
