@ljinvegas Since YouTube doesn't allow hyperlinks, you will have to email me.

@comptaylor Where are the templates for non AIU students to download and use located ? I have been searching for days and all I get is reference point software ,etc... for sale. I am not able to spend forty dollars to get a template to format a essay paper. Can you help with this ?

I love it! Thanks Professor, this video is so neat, and so easy to learn from! I have added it to my favorites to refer to in the future. I have also enjoyed having you as my instructor ...thank you andGod bless you!

@LaDon169 --->> We all have to do the same thing. APA offers templates, which are always there for us to refer to. No need for us to try to memorize them. Thanks for watching!

I think that this demo is perfect, but i also have to keep pausing and going
back to my paper, lol.

@zipblu23 --> Because this is a software demo, it's best to watch a little, apply it to your document, watch a little more, etc. Try the "pause" function as you watch and work on your document at the same time.
should it be running head literally or the title of my term paper?
MsCherub01 3 months ago
@MsCherub01 -->> If it's done according to guidelines in the APA style book, both. The words "Running head:" with a colon, then 2-5 words from your main title to help with indexing. For example, if the main title of the paper is "The Shame of Prison Overcrowding in America," your running head could be:
Running head: SHAME OF PRISON OVERCROWDING
The shortened version in all caps should not exceed 50 characters including spaces between words.

Only a couple minor issues: 1. In the 6th edition of APA, the Abstract should be between 150 and 250 words (not 75 and 250). 2. The top hanging indent in the References section was not flush with the 1" margin of the paper after moving the bottom hanging indent.
Otherwise, it was a *very* good video!

@Sidewinder314 -> Thanks for the comment! On p. 27 of the 6th Ed., the description reads: "Word limits vary from journal to journal and typically range from 150 to 250 words." So consider: (1) the video is for student essays, not journal articles, and (2) the language above contains no "should be" or rule. On the references page demo, I think you mean the first line indent triangle or tool--yeah, that was a patch job and the two citations are a 2 ticks out of line. Good catch!
