@equarg YES.
A hunter that is fair!!!
*cough* Sorry, it's just I've seen a bunch of hunter posts on predator videos saying that all the predators should die and all that junk. Remember to leave some deer for the cougars! :)

That's my name too :D hope she's having a good life @ BCR

This makes me sick. I am a deer hunter.. but I hunt 100% fair. I am 100% "caged" hunts. I hate people who shoot for the "heck" of it. Oh, I just spent 200$ and two cougars and want their heads on my wall?! That guy is a real sob in my book and deserves the name coward, not hunter.
I also have a soft spot for big cats ( and wolves) and respect them greatly. I have seen a wild bear(got a picture too!) I would love to see a wild wolf or big cat! Not to shoot, but to just see them wild and untamed.

oh wow. Good for you for helping her out.
What is wrong with her eyes that caused the blindness? It doesnt look like she has cataracts (theres a pun there)
are you sure the blindness isnt hurting her like remember the black leopard eye surgery? it was hurting him

Is Sophie on the tour path? We visited last week and I didn't see her with the other cougars like Hal, Mac and Enya. I know she's a little elderly, and blind, so I figured she might prefer some solitude. I'm sponsoring her and it's a true honor to do so. :)

Not directly on the tour path she is in an enclosure behind Aspen and Hal, it's a good spot, quiet but close to other cats for her to smell and say hello to, which is something she didn't have where we rescued her from. Of course the concrete was replaced with soft dirt and grass and she as improved enormously :) Thanks for visiting and supporting our cats, without people like you we wouldn't be able to rescue these cats :)

Your doing great work. I'm sure this cat wil live out her life in comfort. But I just wish there was a way she could roam a mountainside, free and wild. It's a shame that selfish ppl try to keep these animals as pets. It never works out.

This is very true and the animal always suffers because of ignorant people.
