U.S. Naval Academy Induction Day 2009

Wednesday, July 1 marked day one of Plebe Summer for the Class of 2013 at the U.S. Naval Academy. Induction day began at 6 a.m. at Alumni Hall where the new midshipmen sign in, go through medical examinations, have their hair cut, recieve standard issue gear, and learn the proper way to salute.

@NavySealO3 yeah you do know. Calling yourself as a "Navy SEAL O3" over You Tube is pretty much proving your a wannabe. and by the way, SEAL is an acronym. A Navy Seal is a blue colored marine mammal. a Navy SEAL is an operator in the U.S. Navy trained for various combat roles.

@MrNinjaBro1997 yeah its possible. Although they aren't too keen on Officers in BUDS. and when you DO become a SEAL as an officer, your not really doing what a SEAL does. Your more of a administrator in the SEAL community. Just do it as an enlisted guy like SEALS were meant to be.

Some midshipmen are prior marines and sailors. Some of thos Marines have been deployed, gotten purple hearts, and have kill counts. Your comment makes no sense.

People who get accepted here will have the funnest time of their life over at the academy. Life over there looks so fun. and after you graduate as an officer in the navy or marines, you will have a very successful life. and this is a COLLEGE not a boot camp
