(Note: Keep in mind that I doubled the ingredients on the video this recipe will serve about 5 people.)

MEAT MARINADE
1 pack of Veg. Lamb Chunk (at Asian markets) or your fav vegan beef substitute.
1/3 cup of Olive Oil
1/3 cup Black Olives
1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
3 tsp. Coriander1 tsp. capers (optional)
1/4 cup of Liquid smoke and, or Vegan/Worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup Paprika
2 Tbsp. Chili Powder
2 Tbsp. garlic paste
2 Tbsp. Onion Powder
3 tsp. Garam Masala
1/3 cup Turmeric
Favorite Salt (to taste)

PASTA
1 box of Ancient Harvest Brand Quinoa Pasta, (or your favorite veg-friendly pasta)

Pot of boiling water with 1/2 tsp. salt

CREAM SAUCE
Veganaise
1/2 bag of White Daiya Cheese
1/2 bag of Yellow Daiya Cheese (optional)
2 Cups Vegan Milk

The marinade can be prepared overnight.

Some of the ingredients of the vegan meat marinade can be omitted.

The most important ingredients that I use for the marinade is the Olive Oil, Coriander, Paprika, and salt. You can even omit the meat altogther and just use the seasoning in the pasta sauce!

Remember not to overcook Gluten free pasta!

Enjoy!

  • Hello Yahcna,

I love your channel:) Recently because of health reasons, I've decided to change my eatting style. I love this channel so much b/c, like yourself I'm a southern girl and I love flavor. I'm tired of eating frozen veggies seasoned with Tony's and butter. What are some typical meals that you prepare for your family on a daily basis. I know you mentioned on a few of your videos that the meals on this channel are for special occassions, and shouldn't be eaten regularly. PLEASE RE

  • @klivous Thank you! I'm glad to hear that. Unfortunately, I don't get to cook everyday, but generally, I try to include a raw veggie medley such as a raw kale salad sprinkled with Braggs aminos and avocado dressing. During the week, I can sometimes be guilty of doing the veggie junk food thing (veggie hot dogs etc.), but I try to drink fresh green juice to compensate.

  • @klivous PART II: When I don't cook, I eat a lot of ethnic food such as Ethiopian, Chinese, West African and Indian because a lot of it can be made veggie friendly. I could go on and on :) The rule of thumb is try to avoid canned, frozen, and processed food as much as possible, and don't overcook your veggies. Don't overdo mock meats, and give your body break from gluten products for a few days each month. Bread is better digested when the sun is highest in the sky. I hope this is a good start.

  • @boyd3308 Lol.. it was

  • @mooncooninc83 Thanks!

  • @Montwain It's called Vegan lamb chunk. It can be found in well stocked Asian supermarkets. Sometimes the product name is in Chinese, but the ingredients are mostly in English, so look out for whey in some of them if it bothers you. If you can't find it, you can use gluten, or your favorite veggie crumble such as Boca crumbles or TVP.

  • @Yahcna Thank you for that, keep up the good work as your making my transition to becoming a vegan a lot easier. Loving the Moorish tribute too, creative, healthy and educational lol...

  • @boyd3308 Lol...

  • @mooncooninc83 Thank you!
