Around 9, Joe came back into his room.

Demi was just staring blankly at her phone.

Joe: Mileys here.

Demi: Oh, okay -She closed her phone and set it on the floor by her bag and stood up.- Im, uh, gonna go talk to her.

Joe: Kay.

Demi left.

Miley was in the hall looking out the front window.

Demi: Hey.

Miley: Oh, hey.

Demi: Whats up?

Miley: Not much. What about you?

Demi: Me and Joe are kinda being..distant.

Miley: Oh, I hope things work out the way you want them to.

Demi: Thanks. But I dont think I even know how I want things to work out.

Meanwhile..

Joe picked up Demis phone.

Joe had never really looked at Demis phone.

It was a black Razr, old phone. He opened it.

There was a draft open.

Joe didnt want to read it and be snooping but he saw him name.

This is what he read:

Uggh! Why? Why?! I hate this. Joe just has to go and party with his Senior friends and his ex and get drunk and forget to pick me up making me wait until 3am for someone to come! Nick to the rescue. But what I hate most is that I want to forgive him but I cant. Maybe I can. No, I cant. Uggh. I just want so bad to be in his arms, feel his fingers in my hair, his lips moving with mine. I dont know what to do. I just want so bad to forgive him but I just cant. But then again, I love him.

Joe closed her phone and put it back where he found it.

Meanwhile.

Miley and Demi were watching the rain fall outside the window when Nick came behind Miley putting an arm around her waist.

Demi left quietly, leaving them alone.

Miley: I feel really bad for Demi.

Nick: Me, too.

Miley: I hope they stay together. Theyre so cute.

Nick: Me, too. I had never seen Joe so happy.

Miley: Is he mad about Demi being in your room?

Nick: He was at first but I think he shook it off.

Miley: Dont worry, Im not mad about it. You did the right thing, letting her stay in there.

Nick: Yeah. Shes quite afraid of many things.
