@FranksRadioSite3 It earned him a gold disc in the States (half a million sales). Probably my fave Rafferty album but he never really did a bad record.

4/15/2011 - I just found out yesterday that Gerry Rafferty passed away Jan. 4th.
It was a sad piece of news to take.
Already Gone is my favorite of his, as hard as it is to pick just one - Home and Dry, Mattie's Rag, Get It Right Next Time and all the rest Right Down The Line...what a wonder he was!
His songs are musical diamonds now, to be found through the ages by those lucky enough to have his spirit reach their ears.

I am Glad to be The 1st One to Comment on this song and Album. I still have Tears in my Eyes since Gerry Rafferty has Passed away. This Album should have Won a Grammy of The year Award. This is also one of The Greatest Songs that Gerry Had ever Produced. I will Always miss you Gerry. Thank You for Posting this song.
