Pyro/Rogue/Gambit - Oh Well

This is another video set to the fabulous Mayday Parade's "Oh Well, Oh Well".

The story goes like this:

Pyro longs to be with Rogue, but she is with Gambit. Since Pyro is with the Brotherhood, he is privy to a proposal by Magneto about how they could use Rogue's special "borrowing" of abilities to better their cause. Curious, Pyro wonders how this plan will form into action. He is initially wary and leaning against the idea, but Magneto tells him that it would be the perfect opportunity for him to obtain Rogue's love. He informs the pyromaniac that they will use a snare involving Sabretooth to lure Gambit into a fight that will lead to his 'death'.

This is where it becomes complicated. In the story, Magneto's daughter, the Scarlet Witch, used one of her magic hexes to separate Gambit from Rogue. Since it was her first time using her powers, she could not follow through on her father's strict order to deliver a killing blow to the Cajun. Instead, she merely split them apart and stirred up a false glamor to make it seem as though Gambit was actually gone. Obviously, since Scarlet Witch has never been portrayed in the films, I didn't include her.

Afterwards, Rogue is devastated. And in comes Pyro, trying to be the perfect shoulder for her to cry upon. And it works. He tentatively reaches an agreement with her to join Magneto's Brotherhood, but all is not as it should be. She still loves Gambit and as time goes on Pyro realizes she could never truly love him.

Struggling with his own guilt because of the deception, he eventually musters up the courage and conviction to tell her what really happened and explains how it is partly his fault for what happened to Gambit and that the Brotherhood had schemed to earn her trust and allegiance for their own benefit.

This scorches a rift between all three parties, severing his newly acquired, but tainted, relationship with the woman he loves and also with the Brotherhood, which has crossed over into another level of evil that he can no longer support.

He decides to leave them all, even though Magneto pressures him to stay, but while all seems awful from the collapse, a surprising face soothes Rogue's soul.

I've made some other videos with Rogue and Gambit. See my videos, "Reflections" and "Between You & I" but none that focus only on their relationship. Maybe I will make one in the future, but since they've never been together in the movies, it's hard to find good footage. They are my favorite pairing, though!

If you have a song in mind for the video, I might be wiling to put it together for ya!
