  • very rarely do i say that a Sinatra Song isnt the best version. But, Come on, ya gotta love the Al Martino Version

  • Sinatra takes any song and brings it up a notch or two. Yes, I prefer Al Martino's version but that is because I am familiar with that version only. This arrangement bears the Sinatra thumb print -- perfect phrasing, gorgeous vocals. They did not call him Chairman of the Board for nothing. This arrangement might grow on me fast, too, just like the Martino version did. I love Sinatra's phrasing. But why does the Italian from the others sound different?

  • @THEFOOTBALLFAN I like Jerry Vale's version the best of all. Might as well throw one more singer into the mix.

  • It just amazing when Frank Sinatra sings!

  • love the Al Martino Version

  • shocked destroyed and revived

  • Dean Martin had the BEST version of this song, even though Al Martino had the most famous version. I'm a big Al Martino fan, but nobody beats Dino!

  • Frank is singing the original Neopolitan chorus of the song:

Vicin'ô mare, facimmo 'ammore, a core a core, pe' nce spassá...

Só marenaro e tiro 'a rezza: ma, pallerezza, stóngo a murí.

  • hands down i think this version is better.. or more romantic than al martinos version.. i mean nothing against al's version.. but im a guy and i would rather play this to the one i love..

  • Originally a hit for Vic Damone and performed by Al Martino in "the Godfather"Frank joins Dean as the other great renditions of this classic.

  • Frank Sinatra stole this song from Johnny Fontane

  • Its all the same lyrics in Italian, its just different in how Frank and Al say it (sing It) ....i.e. the way a guy from Brooklyn says "forget about it" ....
