One of the first games I played, but on a PC with an different cover....loved it. Still love it, but can't stand the stupid controls anymore. C&C is just a tad better in everything.

Everyone agrees that Dune had some of the best ambience music ever?
It really makes the game immersive. No wonder we all got addicted to it.
The graphics, everyone's not-so-good obsession in videogames these days, are actually very good in this game too.
I especially like the colors. Maybe it's because I was 4 or 5 when I first played, but I adore the colorfulness of this game...
... somethign impressive, considering that most of the area is yellow sand.

I am playing C&C again for the first time in years (for the record, Dune II is one of my most-played games, along with Star Control II) and although the interface is newer and you can select multiple units, I find the AI when moving a unit is retarded (taking the long way, driving near turrets etc.).
Dune II frustrates me less, and I personally enjoy commanding each unit individually.
It brings with it a uniquity unseen in the genre, along with intimacy with each unit.

Not bad for 16bit ....
What I liked better , If i remember well, is that if you have two factories of the same kind, you could build two of the same units à the same time... I think that was not possible in C&C, at least not in the original engine... no?

I haven't ever tried that out... But No from my knowledge, building multiple factories and the like, decreases the building speed of units made from the factory or barracks etc.

@ComboTroop
It's as OBSysteme says, you could build units or whatever else at the same time with different buildings of the same kind.
It was a hassle because you had to manage every building separately, but that was also the case for all the units.
The good times, clicking units one by one while attacking/defending :D

I believe that the primitive controls, which will require your constant attention, are part of what makes this game so great. The need of attention will make you forget everything else and bring you on the Arrakis :)

Yeah, but harvesters, like, they were dummies, they wouldn't do much to escape the enemies if getting shot at or that, but still, it was worth playing this game
