what exactly is the interest to a a cartridge simulator without having an actual cartridge inserted ?!

You want to have the catgenie washing with only water ?

@Tanariel2 My test box has been running without a cartridge since February 2010 and it's no dirtier (or cleaner) than my box using regular cartridges. Running without cartridge was never the intention; When I was developing CatGenius I postponed my search for an alternative fluid. But when I found out the box was just as clean, I no longer bothered.

I just received my CartridgeGenius yesterday, installation was pretty easy and it works exactly as described. You have freed me from being forced to spend hundreds of dollars a year on the proprietary cartridges (I have five cats so the cat genie gets used a lot). If I have to replace my 60 which is acting up I will definitely purchase another CartridgeGenius (assuming you still have them available).

PS does anyone know where I can buy parts for the 60?
