nirop

Nirop is a story of Shekhar, a young music composer who is migrating to Germany.




The film takes place in a traditional house in Konkan where Shekhar has come for weekend with his wife, Jui and his friends.




Nirop tries to capture the last week in the life of this composer who has lots of emotions buried in his mind, which have never surfaced till date.




Nirop is mystic and funny story. At point in progresses as a holiday story and on the other level we enter the minds of each of the character unveiling their deep desires and feelings for each other. At the end we see everyone as different human beings as they appeared in the beginning.




The story of the film takes place in the picturesque background of Konkan , the costal Maharahstra .




The film is produced by Aparna Dharmadhikari a known Cinematographer, under her new banner Salaam Cinema, which is established to produce fresh and meaningful cinema in Marathi.




The film is the next work of Sachin Kundalkar, whose first Marathi feature film Restaurant got a good critical and commercial acclaim in 2006.


Sameer Dharmadhikari a well known actor and model from Marathi as well as Hindi film industry, Devika Daftardar, Seema Deshmukh are the main actors in the film supported by Aastad Kale, Ujwala Jog and Shreeram Ranade.


Cyril, a filmmaker from France is doing his debut as an actor with this film.




The music of the film is composed by Shrirang Umrani and the lyrics are by Sunil Sukthankar.


Milind Jog is doing camera for the film.




National award winner Anmol Bhave is designing sound of the film and Abhijeet Deshpande is editing the film.




NIROP has already been selected and screened in International Festivals like PIFF(Pune International Film Festival),Calcutta International Film Festival,Kerla International Film Festival and now has won the biggest Award The National Award RAJAT KAMAL

as the best film.It is been highly Critically acclaimed by all the film makers and will soon released all over the globe.
